Assessing Mold Damage
At New Life Restoration, we have certified technicians that will use a multi-step process to properly mitigate mold damage as efficiently as possible.
Steps Included
Step 1 – Inspection and Assessment: Our specialists will conduct a thorough inspection using the newest technology to determine the full scope of work in order to solve the issue most efficiently.
Step 2 – Unique Remediation Plan: We carefully determine a specialized remediation plan for each situation in order to accurately address and solve your mold issue.
Step 3 – Containments: After we have thoroughly explained our process to the property owner and agreed on a scope of work, we will begin building containments. These are extremely sturdy plastic barriers used to separate the “affected” areas from the “unaffected” areas to prevent cross-contamination between them. We also seal any vents or returns that lead to the HVAC unit to ensure everything is thoroughly protected.
Step 4 – Removals: Our highly trained technicians will set up Air Filtration Devices to control any disturbed mold growth and meticulously remove any necessary materials.
Step 5- Drying: After removals, if there is any wet framing/studs that have mold on them, we will dry it out completely so that we can properly address and remove any mold growth.
Step 6 – Sanding/Antimicrobial Application: After the remaining framing/studs are dried out, we will either sand them down or treat them with an extremely condensed peroxide to completely remove the mold growth from within the framework. After this process we will treat the material with an antimicrobial (which is 100% plant-based) and thoroughly clean all affected areas from floor to ceiling.
Step 7 – Mold Post Clearance Testing: We hire a 3rd party environmental company to come and test the affected areas prior to removing containments to ensure a thorough remediation has been done. After a “passed” test result, we remove our containments and do a final clean of the areas.
